We love creating programmes that you will love - the formal lessons are varied and active, you will meet people who share your profession or interests and you can use your English with them not in an exercise but in a real and meaningful conversation - this is really valuable!

Berni Wall
I started my career as an English Language teacher in September 1977 in Medan Indonesia. I taught at the University of North Sumatra.
Since then I have worked in various institutions both overseas and in the UK helping students to improve their English language skills for work, study, travel or fun.
My specialist areas include IELTS (I am a former examiner) especially high bands 7 & 8 and English for Business/work again getting learners to a high level with their skills.
I am very interested in helping students find ways to continue developing their English language skills when their work gives little time for lessons or extended study. This interest was behind the development of Gapfillers , my online learning site.
It is also at the heart of the immersion on our Fleetham Lodge programmes. You are exposed to a huge amount of language in a very short space of time and this can really boost skills.

My other passion is helping English language teachers get really good at helping their students to make massive progress. To that end I run programmes for teachers both online and face to face.
I want to use my years of experience to support you to achieve your English goals and your dream for your future.
I honestly do not know of any other teacher who offers the depth and breadth of language exposure that I do here at Fleetham Lodge.
I believe that if you are engaged and interested in your learning you will make good progress. I try, always to stretch you by giving challenging material in your lessons and providing as many varied opportunities for you to use English here as possible.
